The heart to pursue and express beauty. The theories and techniques
to create an object --- The College sees these as necessary for our students
to nurture. Through distinctive curriculums that are designed to respond
to the willingness of each student and to develop his/her individuality,
students will develop well-rounded characters and master a broad range
of technical skills.
The College helps students develop solid, practical skills to play an active part in a wide rage of fields in increasingly diversified modern society.
Basics of Modeling
The series of Basic Modeling classes allows students to acquire necessary skills before they choose their specialized areas. In the drawing class, which starts with primary introduction, students spend much time facing motifs in their assignments, thereby cultivating their composition skills and powers of observation to learn the fundamentals of creation. In the plastic art class, students master plaster-casting techniques while learning the basics of modeling by using aqueous clay. It is one of the important lessons for students to take, so that they can make the subsequent two years more fruitful in their respective fields.
A wide range of knowledge and technique to be mastered
Besides fields of specialization, students can learn both specialized and liberal arts subjects common to the Department of Crafts and Arts and the Department of Industrial Design to master a wide range of knowledge and technique.
Attentive tutorship
Practices, specialized subjects and other appropriate methods of coursework suited to the purpose of each class have been introduced to provide flexible instruction. In addition to staffing superior faculty in each field, detailed guidance through seminars is extended to each student.
Full-featured information education environment
Equipped with 2 computer rooms for information classes and 5 for production classes, sufficient computers are provided so that each student has the exclusive use of his/her own computer during class. Students learn from the basics of operation to the techniques that allow them to make full use of computers as a tool for design. An ample and full educational environment has been arranged through providing different equipment and software suitable for the respective information and production classes.
